Training & Development Coordinator

Responsibilities

POSITION OVERVIEW: Reporting to the Production Superintendent and working closely with the Human Resources Department, the incumbent will develop and maintain work procedures, effective training and delivery platforms for all the hourly positions in the Production & Transportation Department.

The Training & Development Coordinator is responsible for:

  • Developing, monitoring and evaluating effective training packages;
  • Developing strategic performance metrics and targets that are consistent with company goals;
  • Participating in professional development activities to improve knowledge and skills;
  • Assisting in the selection, purchase and installation of new equipment designed to develop and deliver training;
  • Assessing needs, set goals, and formulate action plans for employee improvement, provide constructive feedback on employee progress for optimum results;
  • Maintaining a safe, clean, welcoming, and positive learning environment at all times;
  • Participating in the hiring and on-boarding process for new employees.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Education or equivalent combination of education and experience in developing, delivering and maintaining effective training programs in an industrial setting;
  • Excellent computer software knowledge in MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Access) and ability to learn in house computer training programs;
  • Ability to effectively communicate; verbal and written;
  • High flexibility with strong interpersonal skills that allows one to work effectively in a diverse environment;
  • Ability to work individually as well as part of a team;
  • Ability to prioritize and manage conflicting demands;
  • High level of integrity and work ethic.
