Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, the incumbent will be an intricate team member of the  Human Resources Department,  focusing on strategic initiatives as they relate to the training and development of all Canadian Kraft Paper employees and assisting departments with their various training needs. This position will take the lead on all internal training coordination as it relates to initiatives focused on Supervisory Development, Leadership Training and Succession Planning.

The Training & Development Coordinator is responsible for:

  • Collaborate with third party training providers to establish training programs to meet the company’s needs;
  • Coordinate all in-house training including maintaining a class schedule; setting up the training room; coordinating the use of equipment, materials, and guest speakers;
  • Research and secure funding from various government programs focused on training indicative to the needs of the business;
  • Responsible for Canada Job Grant submissions and follow up;
  • Research training opportunities and methods as they relate to the business;
  • Maintain training records ensuring data accuracy in the HRIS system;

Facilitate all new hire and supervisor onboarding


  • Business Administration Diploma or equivalent with Training and Development Experience
  • Excellent computer software knowledge in MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Access) and ability to learn in house computer training programs;
  • Effective communication skills; including strong facilitation practices and clear verbal & written communication;
  • High flexibility with strong interpersonal skills that allows one to work effectively in a diverse environment;
  • Ability to prioritize and manage conflicting demands;
  • High level of integrity and work ethic.
