Recruitment Coordinator

Responsibilities

  • Contributes to the development and implementations of departmental plans, goals and objectives;
  • Responsible for the recruitment process with internal and external candidates, including summer students and temporary employment;
  • Responsible to create external and internal career postings, schedule interviews and pre-employment assessments;
  • Participates in panel interviews with hiring team for all departments, offers expertise from a Human Resources perspective, while ensuring human rights or legislated guidelines are followed;
  • Prepares new hire packages and responsible for on-boarding new employees as per company policy;
  • Maintains accurate applicant tracking data bases and reporting systems;
  • Conducts reference checks, drafts letter of offers and schedules pre-employment testing for successful candidates;
  • Responsible for weekly, monthly and annual reporting;
  • Responsible for updating and maintaining company website, social media accounts and external advertisement sites;
  • Assists with employee and community engagement activities;
  • Coordinates and represents Canadian Kraft Paper at Career Fairs, Trade Shows and related activities;
  • Provides coverage for administrative and communications roles, as required.

Qualifications

  • The incumbent must possess a Grade 12 education with successful completion of an appropriate post-secondary business program with 3 – 5 years’ experience in a Human Resources role with a focus on recruitment preferred.
  • Knowledge in legislated guidelines, policies and HR best practices would be considered an asset;
  • The successful applicant is required to be a self-starter with excellent organizational, interpersonal and time management skills;
  • An effective communicator, with strong verbal, written and presentation skills is key for this role;
  • Exceptional attention to detail is required;
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Programs such as Excel, Word, Power Point and Publisher;
