Reporting to the Production Superintendent, the incumbent will develop and maintain work procedures, effective training and delivery platforms and packages for all hourly positions in the Production & Transportation Department.
The Training & Development Coordinator is responsible for:
Developing, monitoring and evaluating effective training packages;
Develop and update Production and Transportation procedures;
Participate and or lead supervisor development process as required
Assisting in the selection, purchase and installation of new equipment designed to develop and deliver training;
Assessing needs, set goals, and formulate action plans for employee improvement, provide constructive feedback on employee progress for optimum results;
Create and maintain a risk register for all tasks performed and ensure that risk and hazard assessment are a core element of all updated and newly developed procedures;
Participating in the hiring and on-boarding process for new employees;
Provide relief for Production Superintendent when required
Bachelor’s Degree in Education or equivalent combination of education and experience in developing, delivering and maintaining effective training programs in an industrial setting;
Excellent computer software knowledge in MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Access) and ability to learn in house computer training programs;
Ability to effectively communicate; verbal and written;
Ability to learn a working knowledge of the areas of operation
Ability to work individually as well as part of a team;
