Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the welder is accountable to:
Maintain and repair structures and piping in all areas of the site to ensure that the mill operates efficiently and that objectives are achieved
Comply with all Safety, Health, Environmental and other policies, procedures and requirements
From instructions, prints and work orders, organize details of procedures, required materials and tools for the job
Fabricate and repair structures and piping by welding various materials and using welding techniques in compliance with the QA/QC manual
Ensure work area is maintained in a clean and organized manner.
Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
Strong work ethic and proven safety record
Valid Welder Journeyperson Trade Qualifications
Proven problem solving and trouble shooting skills
Ability to read blueprints, diagrams and schematic drawings to assemble and repair equipment and follow work procedures and processes
Ability to work independently and take initiatives
Strong interpersonal skills;both verbal and written communications required

The hourly wage for a Journeyman Welder is $39.50.
